My name is Adam Fay and I am a designer and illustrator here in LA.
Since 2012, I have been working in the animation industry after getting my BFA in illustration from CSU Long Beach. While I have worked at a variety of studios under various roles (such as BG design, prop design, FX design, clean-up, layout and color), my main focus and passion has been character design.
After working on a wide range of projects, including the Spongebob Movie 2, adult animated comedies for Comedy Central and Netflix, storyboarding and designing animated content for Snapchat, TBS' upcoming series Final Space, and educational story illustrations, I am confident that I am able to adapt my drawing style for whatever the project calls for.
This has also helped me gain an understanding of the different types of production pipelines, from various forms of 2D content, to 3D. I love working collaboratively, but can also work independently to explore creative avenues. There is always something to be gained or learned from every project.
I have always had a deep love for animation ever since I was a kid, and would wake up before my family so I could watch early morning cartoons before school. Animation is limitless in the potential it has for story telling, and in my opinion, is one of the most expressive forms of media in the industry.
